Here's a picture of the MIT pumpkin drop, what I understand is an annual event. The student count down from 10 and a pumpkin (either frozen in liquid nitrogen or not) is tossed from the top of the Green Building (the tallest building in Cambridge. It hits the ground with a loud bang and the result seen here. About a dozen pumpkins were dropped like this. Fun - MIT style.
